ADOPTED – Zeus & Zoey – Bonded Ginger Tabbies – Hartford, Boston

Nothing makes a house a home more than a ginger tabby cat!  Zeus and Zoey are a very special pair of kitties – bonded since they were kittens. They are so pretty and sweet. Both are 7 years old, very healthy, spayed/neutered, and up to date on their shots. They are both perfectly litter trained and very well behaved.

Tangerine tabby cats for adoption 3

Zeus and Zoey live with their owner in Athol, MA, within a short drive of both Boston, MA and Hartford, CT.

This cute pair were taken in by their owner as rescues. He had intended to provide them with a forever home, but, as often happens, life had other plans. Their owner has met his forever person, and, unfortunately, she cannot have cats in her home. The couple is hoping to move in together, and this means that finding a loving home for Zeus and Zoey is essential.

Given that they are such special cats, their owner is hoping to find a single, couple or family who will cherish them as much as he does. They are both very cuddly and affectionate. They are quite laid back, and should do fine in a home with dogs and/or kids – so long as they are all cat-friendly. No cat likes to be chased, squished, poked at or otherwise handled.

Even though they are 7, both Zeus and Zoey love to play. They have toys to chase and love to bat at strings and dangly things. Their favorite activity is snuggling, particularly at night in their owners bed. Zeus even likes to sleep under the covers!

Zeus and Zoey can be adopted separately, but their owner is really hoping to find them a home together. They love each other so much and it would be a shame to separate them.

If you would like to meet this adorable pair of tangerine tabbies, please fill out our request form. Once we receive your information, we will contact you to arrange a convenient time for you to meet Zeus and Zoey in their owners home.

Zeus/Zoey’s Personality

They love to cuddle up with you. Zeus likes to sleep under the covers. They’re both very playful. Zeus likes occasional car rides. Zeus loves to be held. Zoey paws lightly at you when she wants attention.

Zeus/Zoey’s Current Home Environment

My home is a small one bedroom apartment. It’s quiet and peaceful here. They’ve always been indoor cats.

Zeus/Zoey’s Current Family:

Most of the time it’s just me and the cats. My kids are here every other weekend and few days after school during the week. My kids are good with the cats and love them very much.

Zeus/Zoey’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Their favorite toy is a feather on a string. They also like little furry mice toys. They really enjoy laser pens. I brush them almost daily. They absolutely love being brushed with their wire brush. Zoey likes catnip very much, Zeus not so much. Both enjoy sunbathing in their window bed.

Cute Zeus/Zoey Story:

I rescued them from a shelter at 6 months of age. Zeus immediately rubbed his face against mine the second I picked him up… the same way he does when I pick him up today.

Why is Zeus/Zoey Being Rehomed?

Moving in with long term girlfriend. They cannot live in the place I’ll be moving into.

Zeus/Zoey’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

I’m looking a relatively peaceful home with a family who will take the time to do the things Zeus and Zoey like, such as playing with them, brushing them daily and of course showing them live and affection. I hope that they can stay together. And that they can remain indoor cats. Im not totally against transitioning to outdoor cats.

Additional Comments:

By staying in touch, is like to hear about how they’re doing, if their new people are willing to do so. It is important to me to know they’re doing OK. **I will be sending pics to the email given to me by Debbie later today when I’m able to take more.
