Hi, My name is Yankee!

Have you ever met a “Lick-a-ma-doodle”? We’ll you are in for a treat when you meet me! I am one of the sweetest, most handsome dogs you will ever meet! I have the eyes and spirit of a Siberian Husky, the temperament and loving nature of a Labrador Retriever, and the intelligence and trainability of an American Pitbull Terrier all rolled into one incredible family companion.
I am a big boy at 75 pounds. I have a beautiful white coat with black markings, and piercing blue eyes so stunning that everyone I meet wants to stop and say Hello. I am only 4 years old and very healthy. I have been neutered, and fully vaccinated. I am polite, perfectly house-broken, and a delight to be around.
I am one of those dogs that absolutely LOVES kids. From the tiniest toddler to teenagers, I am so happy to play and hang out with children. I am very sociable and love meeting new people. I get along well with other dogs. I haven’t had a lot of experience with cats, but would probably be just fine with them, too.
My owner loves me so much. He is having to move to Orange County from Bakersfield, and has not been able to find a rental that will allow a dog like me. He also feels that with his work schedule and having to move to an apartment, it will not be an ideal situation for a people loving, athletic dog like me.
He is hoping to find me the best home ever. He wants me to be happy and healthy in a home where all of my needs are met.
My ideal new home would include:
- A family who own their own home.
- A home with a large, securely fenced yard.
- Some great kids (or grandkids) to play with.
- Owners who will have lots of time to spend with me.
- Owners who are active, and will take me for lots of walks.
- Plenty of belly rubs and chin scratches.
- Unconditional love from people who are ready, willing and able to commit to providing a loving home for me for the rest of my life.
My owner is hoping to keep in touch with me in my new home, so hopefully that would be OK with you. He loves me a lot!
