Xander is such a cute guy with his floppy German Shepherd ears and his Labrador Retriever smile! His is a rags to riches story – he was diagnosed with Parvo and abandoned at a San Antonio vet clinic. A staff member fell in love with him and is currently fostering him in the hope that his forever Mom and Dad will come and claim him.
Xander now has a very clean bill of health. He’s been vaccinated and crate/leash trained. He will need to be neutered when he is a little bit older. He’s great with other pets, including both cats and dogs – and he is not wary of strangers at all. He would be fine for a family with older children, or a couple looking for a great companion.

Personality
Very happy and wants to meet most people, dogs and cats. He loves chewing his rawhides and playing with squeaky toys. He has tons of energy and is willing to run but prefers to smell the grass.
Reason For Rehoming
He is a foster pet that was rescued by the clinic after being diagnosed with Parvo. We haven’t found someone through the clinic to take him and I live in a small apartment with cats and a long work schedule.
