Female Tabby Cat For Adoption in Denver

Hi, My name is Sophia!Female tabby cat for adoption in denver

Wow! Natures paint brush did a fantastic job on this feline wonder! Sophia is fetching in more ways than one! She loves to fetch like a dog, and is absolutely stunning. This gregarious young female tabby cat is so friendly and outgoing. Nothing bothers her and everyone is her friend. That includes children (whom she adores and loves to entertain), other cats, and dogs, too. She is cuddly, talkative, very clever and a really good companion.

Sophia is just 20 months old. She has been spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She is very clean and well behaved – perfectly litter trained.

Her owners love Sophia to bits, but due to life changes, can no longer provide a home for her. They are dearly hoping to find Sophia a loving home in the area, with people who will cherish her and keep her safe, happy and healthy. This is one little cat that easily purrs and plays her way into your heart.

Sophia will be rehomed with her supplies, and the sincere friendship of her owners, who would love to stay in touch.

If you have been looking for the ultimate feline friend, here she is! Please offer Sophia a loving home today!

Sophia’s Personality

Sophia plays fetch better than our dog!

If you talk to her, she talks right back.

She loves to cuddle.

Nothing ever phases her; if she gets knocked down she’ll get right back up and move on to the next thing.

She is quite clever.

Sophia’s Current Home Environment

Sophia currently lives in a 3 story townhouse with one human, one dog, and one older kitty. She is a strictly indoors cat, but is allowed onto the deck during the daytime hours. She is able to use the pet door to go in and out.

Sophia’s Current Family:

Sophia was adopted at the age of 10 weeks for my daughter, who at the time was 17 years old and struggling quite a bit with life’s challenges. My daughter has an older cat, currently 6.5 years old, but thought having a younger, more playful kitten around would be good for her — someone else to care for and be responsible for. I adopted a 5-month old puppy on the same day we adopted Sophia, so the two were raised together.

Sophia’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Sophia loves to play fetch (the video shows this), snuggle, and spend time outside on our deck. She will honestly play with any toy (or anything she thinks is a toy!), but we try to avoid the laser pointer because she becomes incredibly determined to hunt it down. She also sometimes sucks on her tail for comfort, which we are told is perfectly healthy and normal, and it just means she was probably weaned off of her mother too soon. If you let her up on your lap she is likely to purr, knead her paws, and suck on her tail until she falls asleep.

Cute Sophia Story:

Sophia is quite confident in her place in the world. One day she decided she wanted to curl up in the middle of Autumn’s dog bed. The dog was completely mystified and did not know what to do. We have a very cute picture of this — Sophia looking quite at home curled up on the dog bed, which is 15 times bigger than she is; and Autumn sitting nearby with her “concerned dog” face.

Why is Sophia Being Rehomed?

My daughter moved to Fort Collins 6 months ago, and has now decided to stay there permanently. She will be taking her older kitty with her, but cannot take both cats. Meanwhile, in 6-months’ time I will be moving to Grand Junction with my mom. She and I each have a dog and will be renting. Her dog is not used to cats at all. We want to find Sophia a very good and loving home where she can take over and become the owner of new humans.

Sophia’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

As Sophia is very social, we are looking for a home with people who can provide her with plenty of love and attention. She’s very playful, and when not occupied with people will certainly devise her own mischief. My partner has young children, and Sophia is just terrific with them, so a home with kids would be great.

Additional Comments:

Her nickname is “Soph” — rhymes with loaf.
