Sassy has found her forever humans!

Here is how our rehoming team presented Sassy to attract her new family!

Hi, My name is Sassy!

Shih tzu for adoption

You know, I’ve been feeling very, very sad lately and I will tell you why…

I am the cutest little 8 pound purebred Shih Tzu dog you will ever meet. I am 9 years young, healthy, up to date on my shots, and very well behaved. I am spayed and house trained. I am great with older, dog-friendly kids. I live in Lousiville, KY.

So what could possibly be wrong in my life, you ask? Well, I love my family so much and live just to spend time with them. Unfortunately, as the kids have grown up and my Mom has become really busy with her business, I am left alone far too much. I spend my days by myself, just waiting for someone to come home and spend time with me. It makes me so sad, and I am kind of depressed, to be honest with you.

My owners love me so much! They want the very best life for me and realize that they are no longer able to provide me with the level of care and attention I need to be happy and healthy.

We are hoping to find me the best home ever with people who can lavish me with the attention I need and very much deserve. I would love to live with a stay-at home senior, couple or family with lots of time to spend with me, home during all or part of the day, and who would love a sweet dog like me to add sunshine to life.

I am very playful and affectionate, well behaved, pretty, sweet and ready to love.

Sassy’s Personality

She is very loving. She misses you and gets excited when you comes home. She requires very little from you. Just a little lovin when you come home. She likes to make sure someone is always close to her. She is so prissy.

Sassy’s Current Home Environment

Very laid back. Quiet. Easygoing. We are not home much. She gets depressed when left alone. Now that kids are grown and leaving home, feel she is getting more and more depressed that not enough time is being spend with her. Feel it is not fair to her.

Sassy’s Current Family:

Mom with a son and daughter. We have had her since she was two years old. We have always spoiled her. She has always been our baby. But was she has gotten older and we have gotten busier with life, we have noticed she has gotten depressed.

Sassy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

She loves balls and little bones. She also loves little toys. She will play catch and play with throw toys. She will slide across the wood floors and look like a little dust mop. It is funny.

Cute Sassy Story:

She loves to ride in the car but does not like to go anywhere. So often times we will take her for a ride around the block. This really gets her excited.

Why is Sassy Being Rehomed?

I am a busy business owner that is always working outside the home. My children are now grown and are moving out of the home. She is often being left alone and this is so unfair to her. She loves having someone close to her and it is so unfair to her. It absolutely breaks my heart to leave her in the morning. She starts shaking knowing I am getting ready to leave her for the day. She won’t let me take her to a doggy day care because she hates being away from the home and she does not like being around other animals. I would love to find someone who is in the home on a consistent basis that could love on her.

Sassy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

a semi retired or retired person who does not have any other pets in the home that is looking for a soft hearted, very low maintenance, loving lap dog. She is good with children but does not like to be roughly handled.
