REHOMED! Persephone – Precious Purebred Neapolitan Mastiff Near Golden CO

Persephone has found her forever home with a very nice couple living just 15 minutes away from her original owners. They are die-hard Neopolitan Mastiff lovers who had been waiting for the right dog to come available for adoption after losing their beloved “Clementine” to cancer at age 10. We have no doubt that Persephone will be cherished and spoiled rotten by her new family.

Hi, My name is Persephone!

Living with her owners in Golden, Colorado, Persephone is a 19 month old purebred female Neapolitan Mastiff. She is just 19 months old and weighs 100 pounds. Persephone has been spayed, is up to date on shots and very healthy. She is house trained and crate trained.

Persephone’s owners are looking for a very good home for her. They have discovered that she is not a good playmate for their cats due to her large size. She is best suited to be an only pet. She has not been around children, but would likely be fine with older kids whom she would not accidentally knock down. (She is a bit like a bull in a china shop!)

Please offer this “drooly jewel” the loving home she needs and very much deserves, today. Supplies and veterinary records will be included.

Persephone’s Personality

1. Her tail waggle shakes her entire rear end when she gets a little excited. 2. She walks well on a leash. 3. She’s a big dog. 4. She’s generally well behaved. 5. She snorts like a pig.

Persephone’s Current Home Environment

Small split level home in the mountains with just over an acre of land. No fences are built on the property so she is walked on a leash even in the yard. The yard is full of trees.

Persephone’s Current Family:

My husband and I do not have children in the home. Husband is a government employee and works long hours Monday through Friday and usually on Saturdays. I am home most of the time.

Persephone’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

We haven’t found any toys that she truly loves in the short time we’ve had her in our home. She eats Taste of the Wild dog food. Her favorite activity seems to be following her people around.

Cute Persephone Story:

Why is Persephone Being Rehomed?

She is too big to play with our cats.

Persephone’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Someone who can accept a dog that drools often, has a somewhat stubborn attitude, snores at night, and is very large. Someone who wants a dog to live inside their home – this dog will not do well as an outside animal.

Additional Comments:

We have not had this dog long enough to really get to know her that well. She is very well behaved most of the time.
