Great-Pyrenees-Mix-Savannah 12

Mayhem has found his forever home! Peggy and her husband from Blairsville GA fell in love with this big lug of love, and have taken him into their hearts and home. Mayhem will have constant companionship from these young and active seniors, and weekly visits from their grandson.

Congratulations, Mayhem and we wish you the very best with your new family!

Hi, My name is Mayhem!

Great-pyrenees-mix-savannah 12

With a name like “Mayhem”, you know this has to be one great dog! This 3 year old Great Pyrenees mix is already 100 pounds, and every ounce of him is filled with love. Mayhem is a fawn colored boy with short, smooth coat. He is a real people dog and loves everyone – from the tiniest toddler to Great Gramma in her rocking chair. Mayhem lives in Hinesville, GA, near Savannah.

Mayhem is as polite and well behaved as he is HUGE! He is very obedient and considerate. He loves just hanging around with his people. You can take him anywhere and everywhere – he always behaves like a gentleman.

Mayhem is very healthy, neutered and up to date on his shots. He is playful and fun – and really loves his toys.

Mayhem’s family love him so much! It has been extremely difficult for them to make the decision to find him a loving home, but they are away from the house too much working, and Mayhem really isn’t happy being left by himself all the time. This big boy thrives on human companionship. He needs to have people around him most of the time.

He is such great company and a loving presence, that he would make a fantastic emotional support dog. He also has the manners and temperament to excel as a visiting animal therapist.

Here’s what his family loves most about him:

1. We love how well he tolerates our toddler and other animals.

2. We love how extremely affectionate he is. He is always wanting to be near someone and have attention.

3. We love how you can take him anywhere and he listens well.

4. We love how we never have to worry about how he will react when other people come into our home.

5. We love how excited he gets for new toys.

Mayhem is looking for the best home ever. He wants to be your focus – not an afterthought. He is great with other dogs, cats and even small children. He needs a home with a securely fenced back yard to play in, and people who have the time to give him the love and attention he needs and deserves.

Mayhem’s Current Home Environment

We live in a small two bedroom apartment with no yard. It is usually not very quiet since we have a toddler.

Mayhem’s Current Family:

I am in the army and my wife works on post while our son is in daycare. I usually get off work pretty late and so does she.

Mayhem’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

He LOVES rawhides. He doesn’t like large bones at all, even though he’s a large dog. He loves anything rubber, stuffed, balls, etc. The food we usually buy him is blue mountain or taste of the wild. His favorite activities are wrestling, swimming, walks, playing, and sleeping. He sleeps all the time.

Cute Mayhem Story:

Over the past summer when we brought him out to the lake, we encouraged him to get in the water and swim for the first time. After he got the hang of swimming, every time someone would get in the water, he would jump in after them and think he was “saving” them. He tries to wrap his legs around you to save you, but really he’s not helping at all. haha

Why is Mayhem Being Rehomed?

We are not home enough to give him the attention he deserves.

Mayhem’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

We want a family who is understanding, has patience, and preferably has a yard.
