Love Labs? This GORGEOUS purebred Yellow Lab is looking for a loving home. Lola is 7 years young and very healthy. She is a big girl at 80 pounds. Lola has been spayed, micro-chipped and fully vaccinated. She is also perfectly house broken and crate trained. Lola currently lives in Bellaire, TX, near Houston.
Lola is a very loveable dog. She loves to play and is a great companion. She is a very smart dog who has lots of energy and loves to be active.
She is being rehomed by her owners, who are absolutely heartbroken to have to make this very difficult decision to find her a new home. Unfortunately, Lola has always considered herself to be the Alpha dog in the home. Although she has undergone obedience training, Lola still very much has a mind of her own, and can be difficult to control when on a leash, so it has been difficult for her family to give her the exercise she needs and deserves.
Lola has always been good with children, but unfortunately a recent episode with food aggression with the family’s small child has made it necessary to find Lola a home without small children.
Her ideal new family will have lots of time to spend with her, a very large, securely fenced back yard, and experience owning a strong-willed dog. Lola needs to understand that she is not the boss, by being given strong leadership by her owners. She would shine in a country home with lots of room to romp, run and swim.

Lola is lovable but strong willed as detailed above. She is very good with my husband and me and has until this incident been great with our son. She needs more exercise but we have difficulty controlling her on leash and cannot have her off leash. We did work with a trainer when she was about two who declared Lola to be a stubborn dog and the training fell off. We admittedly did not work with Lola enough to get her energy out. When Lola is with us she is a very good companion she certainly wants to be top dog and is assertive to take the lead over our other dog but is not aggressive toward the other dog.
