Meet Katherine!

Oakland, CA – Looking for the most amazing cat in Oakland? Katherine is “all that – and more!” This fluffy Maine Coon mix is much like a dog in her personality, with all the best cat qualities too! Katherine is only 3. She is very healthy, and has been spayed and microchipped. She is up to date on her shots, and very well behaved. Her litter box habits are impeccable, too.

Katherine loves to follow you around the house. She is so friendly and wants to be with her humans all the time. She is very good with strangers, and is not skittish, like some cats. Katherine has not been around dogs or children, but her personality is one that would likely be accepting of both.

Katherine loves to play. She also loves tummy rubs and lap time. She has a delightful purr and is just a fabulously fluffy and fun companion.

As much as her owner loves Katherine, she will be moving in with friends who are allergic to cats. For this reason, she simply cannot take Katherine with her. In addition, working long hours leaves little time to spend with this gregarious cat, and Katherine is lonely. She really needs to have owners who can spend lots of time with her.

Please offer Katherine the loving home she needs and deserves today! This is one very special feline who will instantly purr and play her way into your heart.

Katherine’s Personality

Katherine loves to roll around on her back and stretch to offer her fluffy tummy for petting.
She is always excited when new people come into the apartment, greeting them with a friendly leg rub.
She goes nuts over anything feathered or flying, alive or not.
She is incredibly fluffy.
Katherine will often try to groom me, as if she thinks I am her kitten.

Katherine’s Current Home Environment

I live in a one bedroom apartment, with a common room and small balcony.

Katherine’s Current Family:

I live by myself, but I am frequently visited or visiting friends. Katherine enjoys having other people around, but gets lonely when she is left by herself for a long time.

Katherine’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

Katherine will eat most anything I have tried, though I typically feed her Science Diet brand. She enjoys playing with feather toys, nestling in boxes, and pinning people down by lying on their lap or chest.

Cute Katherine Story:

After receiving quite a large package from my family, I could not find Katherine for a couple of hours. She had burrowed under the packing paper in the large cardboard package box, and I finally found her happily dozing.

Why is Katherine Being Rehomed?

I am moving in with friends and am unable to take a pet with me. I also am not home enough to provide Katherine with sufficient attention, and she gets very sad without a companion.

Katherine’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

Katherine is easy to get along with, so the most important quality of an adoptive family or home is that she will have plenty of human or feline companionship.
