My nickname should be “Mr. Gentle”. I am so mellow and sweet. I even have a gentle Meow. Not harsh like some cats… mine is like a soft melody carried on a gentle breeze.
OK, so maybe I am getting a big carried away with myself here… I’m Jasper, and I am a really, really nice cat. I am nature’s designer cat with brown tiger striping and the soul of a Tiger! I am just 7 years old and weigh about 10 pounds. I live with my family in Loma Linda, CA, but would be purrfectly happy to come and live with you.
I am very healthy, neutered, up to date on my shots and declawed.
My family loves me so much, but have had to make the very difficult choice to rehome me because of housing restrictions that do not allow pets. They are having to move to a new area for work, and they tried for 6 months to find a pet friendly home to rent. No luck. So it is with great sadness that they have had to make the decision to rehome me, but with great hope that they are doing so.
My ideal home will be with people who appreciate my gentle and demure nature. I love people, but I can be skittish when I am not completely comfortable. I would love a quiet home with people who will give me lots of love and attention. I am used to being around small kids and other cats, so a home like that would be fine, but my deepest desire is to have a quiet home with a couple adults all to myself.

Jasper likes treats, but he is shy so he usually lets the other cats eat their fill first and then will come up to get his share. I suppose he has “good manners” then 🙂

Cute Jasper Story:
7 years ago, we went to an animal shelter to “just look.” Of course we know that always ends up inevitably with an adoption. I was in the cattery and saw this small, skinny little cat that was meowing. He climbed up like a little monkey and made sure that he climbed up that little cage to get close to us. Even though he fell a few times, he kept trying. He then reached out his paw and when we stuck our fingers in, he licked them and was so gentle. He tried so hard to get our attention and was craving so much love that I had to pick him. He is truly a loyal and sweet cat.
Why is Jasper Being Rehomed?
We are moving very soon and the house we are going to does not allow pets. The place we are going to is not very heavily populated has very few houses for rent. Furthermore, there are even fewer houses that allow pets. We had looked for approximately 6 months, but now have made the difficult decision to rehome our pets so that it can open up our housing options.
Jasper’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
New owners who will really appreciate Jasper’s gentle nature. He is such a sweet and loving cat when given the opportunity. He does better in a stable, non-hectic household where there are not constantly new people. Otherwise, he will be very shy and scared. Jasper needs to be an indoor cat as he is declawed.
