Jack’s Current Home Environment

He lives with a cat and 1 owner in a large one bedroom apartment. He likes being in closets and small spaces (like under chairs). We keep the place pretty clean, but he does tend to carry his food around in mouthfuls rather than directly out of the bowl.

Jack’s Current Family:

1 female owner and 1 female cat

Jack’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?

He’s not huge on toys, but he likes peanut butter-stuffed balls. His favorite treats are cheese, salmon, bones, Dentastix, and Beggin Strips. His favorite activities involve activity, like trips to the dog park and jogs.

Cute Jack Story:

He likes to sleep belly up with his legs straight up in the air–it’s so funny and cute! One time I caught the cat “massaging” his belly when he was in that position and they both seemed so content.

Why is Jack Being Rehomed?

I am moving across the country for a new job with extremely demanding hours. As heartbreaking as it is, I know he deserves more attention than I’ll be able to give.

Jack’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:

He needs someone willing and able to take regular walks with him and brush him regularly. A fenced in yard would be a huge bonus (but he can climb chainlink).

Additional Comments:

He tends to mark when I work long days, which is why the vet tried Prozac for his anxiety. With someone who is home more often, I would think he could be weened off the meds and wouldn’t mark.
