Calgary, AB – Golden Retrievers are always filled with “Joie de Vivre”, and Emmy is no exception! This glorious Golden Retriever is just 2 years old. She is healthy, aside from a sensitive tummy, and has been spayed. She is also up to date on her shots. Vet records will be provided to her new owners.
Like most retrievers, Emmy has yet to outgrow her puppy stage. She loves to run and jump and play, and can get pretty darned carried away with it. Frankly, she’s on a bit of a “power trip”, much to the chagrin of everyone else in the household.
As much as they all love her, her family realize that they are not able to provide Emmy with the strong leadership that she needs and deserves to reach her full potential as the obedient, polite and devoted family companion that her breed is renowned for. She is be very calm and loving with adults, but with children, she gets quite excited, which can be more than they can handle.
Emmy is on a special diet (Hill’s Science Diet) that works very well to control her sensitive tummy. Unfortunately, being a Retriever living on an acreage, it is not possible for her family to constantly control what she is eating. This has resulted in occasional accidents at night, when she has had some diarrhea. A city home with a securely fenced back yard will provide an environment where her diet can be better controlled.
Emmy’s family are dearly hoping to find her the kind of home in which she will flourish. She is going to need patience, dedication and training to help her settle down and become more sensible.

Emmy is too rambunctious around our children. She frightens them and their friends with her exuberance.
With her sensitive stomach, it has been hard to control her diet on our acreage, as she gets into things she is not supposed to. She needs to be in a home where this can be controlled.
We absolutely want to find Emmy a good/loving home who can work with her personality.
