Do you like sharing the limelight? No? Me Neither! I was born to be a star, and I don’t like to share attention with other cats. I am a beautiful, sweet, gentle and playful 4 year old Russian Blue mix cat. I have the most amazing green eyes, and a sleek, lovely grey coat flecked with blue.
I weigh about 8 pounds and am very healthy. I have been spayed, am up to date on shots, and have been micro-chipped. I am perfectly litter-trained and well behaved (except for my desire to fight with other cats!)
I get along just fine with cat-friendly dogs, strangers and well behaved children. I am charming and sweet, good natured and loving.
My owners love me so much. They found me when I was a tiny grey blob shivering under a car in their driveway. They took me in and gave e a wonderful home. Unfortunately, as I have matured, I just don’t get along with the other cats in our home. It is mayhem, and with a set of twins on the way, and 2 busy legal careers, they simply cannot deal with the cat fights in our home.
They love me to bits, and are dearly hoping to find me the best home ever. I need to be an only cat, but promise to delight and cherish everyone in the household. My playful antics and sweet personality are very endearing, and my exceptional behavior, impeccable litter habits and amazing grace and beauty will enchant you.

Ellie’s Personality
1. Ellie is great with dogs and strangers.
2. She does not bite or scratch (she may accidentally scratch when picked up, but never intentionally).
3. She is very clean. We have had no out of litter box issues.
4. She has no “nuisance” behaviors (scratching furniture, clothes).
5. She is very talkative!
Ellie’s Current Home Environment
We live in a three story home of about 2400 square feet. We have a black lab and 3 cats (including Ellie). We also have a desert tortoise, but he lives outside. All of the cat are indoors. Each has their own litter box. We also have 5 scratching posts, 3 cat trees, and various food stations/other toys.
Ellie’s Current Family:
My husband and I are both lawyers. We work long hours. We are expecting twins in March 2017.
Ellie’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Ellie loves any kind of string or laser. Her favorite objects are soft blankets. She is a little bit of a picky eater, but we found a brand of food that she likes.
Cute Ellie Story:
We found Ellie outside about 2 years ago. I heard meowing and thought our cat, Marvin, had escaped. I went outside and saw a little gray blob sitting under my car shivering. We took her in the garage and kept her for a few days to see if we could find her owner. When it became apparent she had been abandoned and/or run away, we took her to the vet, had her spayed, and introduced her to our other animals. She ran right in and took a nap on the couch.
Why is Ellie Being Rehomed?
Ellie has become aggressive with our other two cats. She is the only animal we rescued as an adult and she has always been a little bit of a bully, but her behavior continues to degrade. We’ve worked with animal behaviorists and we have not seen much change. Her constant aggression is causing friction in the house and tension with the other animals.
Ellie’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Ideally, I would like to find a family with no other cats. Kids and dogs should be fine. I would prefer someone who is not a first time cat owner and who is familiar with the Russian Blue breed.
