Do you love to cuddle? Me too! I am a very sweet and devoted 2 year old Labrador Retriever mix. I am very healthy, spayed, up to date on my shots and house broken. I get along well with other dogs, but am not so great with cats. I am playful and energetic. I really love going in the car and am a great traveler. I weigh 45 pounds, and currently live with my owners in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina – near Raleigh.
One thing I am very good at is making you laugh. I can be a real clown, particularly when you put the sprinkler on! I love to play in the water.
My owners love me so much. They fostered me for a while, and loved me so much they decided to keep me. They recently welcomed their first child to the family, and unfortunately it has become apparent that I am not good with small children and babies. They feel that it is necessary to find me a loving, adults only home. I am so sweet and loving with adults, and would probably be just fine with kids older than 12. It is just that small kids and babies make me nervous.
I am such a wonderful girl, and will add plenty of love, joy, laughter and companionship to the right home. I get along well with other dogs, and would love a home with adults who have lots of time to spend with me. I am used to going for walks and runs, and would make a great running partner.
Please offer me the loving, forever home that I need and very much deserve.

Accessories Included: We have a nice large crate for Daisy (she is crate trained). She tends to chew beds if they are placed in her crate, so we use a blanket/towel for her and that works well. She also has toys that she likes and her leashes/harnesses that we use for walks/runs.

Daisy’s Current Home Environment
We live in a three bedroom house with a fenced in backyard in a neighborhood. We have one other dog (Chihuahua) and he and Daisy get along well. Our dogs sleep in their crates at night but these are in our bedroom with us. Her crate is a happy place and is never used to discipline. She likes going in there just fine.

Daisy’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
She loves to play in the sprinkler, chase the tennis ball, chase the soccer ball, and play with our other dog. She also likes to go for runs with my husband and loves long walks. She will eat anything you hand her (whether she should or not!)
Cute Daisy Story:
She is hilarious to watch play in the sprinkler and to chase the soccer ball. She loves to play keep away and my husband chases her around the yard while she tries to hold the ball in her mouth. She’s a goofy girl!
Why is Daisy Being Rehomed?
We recently had our first child, our son (July 30th) and we have learned that Daisy does not do well with children. This is based on her interaction with our son and also our older nieces and nephews who are around 5 years old. We are looking to re-home her based on these interactions (nothing serious yet, but she is unpredictable and we simply can’t take that chance with our child). She would do very well in a household with adults (as she has with us prior to our son being born). We are also not able to pay as much attention to Daisy as we used to be able to, and this is simply not fair to her.
Daisy’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
We are looking for a loving family that does not have children where Daisy can get a lot of exercise and get the attention she deserves. She loves to cuddle on the couch and play inside and out, so a family that is used to having energetic dogs would be good.
Additional Comments:
As much as we would like to, my husband thinks it will be more difficult if we stay in touch with Daisy, so we are opting to not to. This is a very difficult decision for us, as we feel that once you have a dog it is your responsibility and she is certainly part of our family and is loved, but once you have a baby he or she is your responsibility, too, and we therefore need to find Daisy a home without children where she can get lots of love and attention.
